Pop-Up Pantry Serves NE Ohioans
Food distribution occurs the fourth Saturday of each monthASW associates have been volunteering as part of ASW Global's partnership with the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank. On the fourth Saturday of every month, the Food Bank brings a mobile pop-up pantry to ASW's main campus in Mogadore. Volunteers enjoy the opportunity to help the community and some even bring their family members to help out as well. Associates' sisters, aunts, sons, grandsons, boyfriends, wives, and moms have thus far joined the effort.
The first grocery distribution took place on Saturday, June 25 and the latest occurred on July 23. The next pop-up pantry will take place from 10 a.m. to noon on August 27. Community members should arrive at 3325 Gilchrist Road and follow the signage, which will direct them where to proceed.
The mobile food bank is not limited to Summit County residents. Any community member in need of groceries can attend the drive-thru food distribution. The Foodbank will provide a variety of shelf-stable pantry items, frozen meat, and fresh produce to distribute to families in need.
